About the Event
Attracting and keeping good staff (skilled or unskilled) is the challenge every business is facing right now.
In this hour-long session, Dianne breaks down what's changed in the world of work, what's really driving employee expectations, and why the direction we give as leaders so often lands differently than we intend. Practical, current, and built for business owners who want results, not theory.
Drawing on current workforce trends and generational shifts, this session will cover:
- The future of work: How expectations, flexibility, and the employer/employee relationship have shifted, and what's coming next.
- What's actually driving employees today: Beyond pay, what keeps people engaged, and what pushes them out the door.
- Generational synergies: How different generations define a "good job" differently, and how to build a culture that works across all of them.
- The perception gap: Why direction given as a leader is never received the same way and why this quiet mismatch is behind so much frustration & rework.
- Retention through culture resets: Practical, real-world approaches to rebuilding culture in a way that moves retention numbers.
